Checking the order status is simple, requires just a few clicks, and can be done while signed in to Shutterfly or without signing in. Explore the different options below.

Find Order History/Status
- Sign in to Shutterfly, Click 'Hi, (Your Name)', and Click Order Status.

- The Order Status page will display recent orders along with past ones.
- The current status will indicate if the order has shipped and provide estimated arrival dates.
Order Statuses
When an order is placed, it progresses through several statuses, which can be viewed by visiting the Order History section. This helps track the order's progress. Below are the different statuses and meanings:
- Note: Signing into a Shutterfly account is required to view the status of an order.
- Preparing Your Order
- The order has been received and is in the printing process.
- An email confirmation with the order summary should have been sent to the associated email.
- Orders can be canceled within 30 minutes by visiting the Order Status.
- Creating Your Order
- The order is being printed and packaged for shipping.
- Your Order Has Shipped
- The order has been shipped.
- Once the order ships, an email confirmation should be received with tracking information.
- Transit time depends on the selected shipping method.
- Some carriers do not pick up or deliver on weekends, so orders printed over the weekend typically ship on Monday.
- Cancelled
- The order has been canceled within the 30-minute period or could not be fulfilled.
- An email explaining the cancellation should have been received.
- Failed
- The order is unable to be processed due to a declined credit card, often caused by an invalid card number.
- The order can be resubmitted with updated billing information within seven days via a link in Order History.
- Ensure the credit card number (if previously saved to the Shutterfly account) is also checked and any necessary changes are made to prevent this issue with future orders.
Shipping Updates Via Text
- Sign up for tracking updates by text on the order confirmation page.
- Once the order ships, tracking updates will be sent to the phone number provided, in addition to the shipping and delivery updates via email.
Order Issues
- For an order that hasn't been received and the original estimated delivery date has passed, contact Shutterfly Customer Care.
Locate Order Number
When contacting about an order issue, having the order number ready is very helpful. The order number can be found:
- On the back of the index print in an order (the first print, showing thumbnails of the first and last photos in a print batch).
- In an order confirmation email.
- In a shipping confirmation email.
- In the online Order History.
