Shutterfly prioritizes the security of all user account. (See Shutterfly's Privacy Policy). In certain cases, immediate relatives or agents of deceased persons may wish to access that individual's images. This is permitted only with a valid third-party court order or appropriate legal process that ensures the security and privacy of the account.

Helpful Information
This process includes basic verification information. Requests without proper authority cannot be honored for security reasons.
- Immediate family members or executors of the estate should contact Shutterfly regarding the deceased user's account by sending an email to accounthelp@cs.shutterfly.com.
Information to Include in Request
Include the following necessary information in the email:
- Full name and contact information.
- The account email to which the images should be shared to.
- The email address associated with the Shutterfly account of the deceased individual (verification is done by email identification).
- A copy of the death certificate of the deceased.
- A copy of the document granting Power of Attorney over the estate of the deceased.
- If the deceased was under the age of 18, a copy of the Birth Certificate is required instead of Power of Attorney.
- An email confirming receipt of the request will be sent within 8 hours.
- Once all documentation is received, processing may take up to 60 days.
- *Please download the Shared photos to a personal device once the photos are shared to the Shutterfly account.
Large Image requests
Due to the manual facilitation of the image sharing process, there's a limit on the total number of images that can be provided.
- For larger photo timeline contents, assistance cam be provided by sharing key time frames or specific sets of images.
- Please note that larger requests increase processing time.
