Helpful Tips
- Verify with any friends or family who may have access to the account to see if any account information has been changed, including the password.
- Try alternate email addresses if there is more than one.
- The new password link will only be sent to the email address registered to the Shutterfly account.

The old password will continue to work until it is reset.

If access to the email address associated with the account is no longer available, contact Customer Care for further assistance.
Shutterfly Sign In
- Go to the Shutterfly homepage, Click 'Sign in' at the top right of the screen, and Click 'Sign In'.
- Enter the email address and password and Click 'Sign in'.

Forgot Password Steps
- Go to the Shutterfly homepage, Click 'Sign In', and Click 'Forgot Password' or Click here to go directly to the Forgot Password page.

- Enter the email address and Click 'Send'.

- Click 'Return to sign in'.

- Find the Password Reset Email sent to the email address entered and Click on 'Reset Password'.
- Be sure to check any Spam or Junk folders if the email isn't found.

- Enter the new password twice and Click 'Reset Password'.
- New Password Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 8 characters.
- Upper and lower case letters.
- At least one number & one special character.
- Passwords containing simple dictionary words, sequential letters and numbers aren't allowed.
- Unable to use an exact duplicate of the email address.

- Use the new password to login once taken back to the Sign In page.
Password Reset Email Not Received
- If the email has not arrived within 60 minutes:
- Check the Spam or Junk folder.
- Add the email address customersupport@service.shutterfly.com to the email program to prevent filtering.
- Most email programs have an Address Book for this purpose.
- Ensure the correct email address associated with the Shutterfly account is being used.
- Check the inbox for a previous email from Shutterfly to verify the email address.
- Check with the email or internet service provider for any delays or glitches.
- If still experiencing difficulty contact Shutterfly Customer Care.
Accounts Through Facebook
- If an account was created or accessed using Facebook, the password must be reset through Facebook.
- After completing this step, the password will automatically update for the Shutterfly site.
Account Already Exists
- Reasons for messaging:
- This email address has been used before to sign up for a Shutterfly account.
- Another customer with a similar email address has mistyped their own address.
- The email provider allows recycling of email address, and the previous owner set up an account using that email address.
- If this messaging is received, the email address may have been used before but the password has been forgotten.
- Use the 'Forgot password?' steps listed above.
Sign In Error Reasons
- Sign-in errors may occur due to:
- Entering a different email address than the one used to sign up.
- Try another email address if multiples are available.
- Incorrect use of upper or lower case letters in the password.
- Passwords are case sensitive.
- Extra spaces before or after the email address.
- Remove any spaces and try signing in again.
- Internet filtering software, such as Norton or BlackIce, may interfere with the sign-in process.
- Disabling the software may help.
- Forgotten Password.
- Expired cookies on computer.
- The reCAPTCHA was incorrectly entered.
- Enter the characters exactly as shown in the verification box, as the characters are case-sensitive.
Use Email to Sign In
- Easily access a Shutterfly account without entering a password by using the secure Email Link feature.
- Go to the Shutterfly homepage and Click 'Sign In.'
- Select 'Use Email Instead.'
- Enter email address and Click 'Use Email Instead'.

- A confirmation message will appear indicating the email has been sent.

- Locate the email and Click 'Sign In' to access the Shutterfly account.

Keep Me Signed In
- Enables extended access to the Shutterfly account without repeated sign-in prompts.
