Helpful Information
-
Effective September 23, 2024, Shutterfly's updated photo storage policy provides unlimited photo storage, sharing, and downloading for active accounts with at least one order placed every 18 months.
-
Photos from accounts without an order within that time will be archived.
-
Archived photos will remain visible in the account and can be used to create products and place orders, but cannot be shared or downloaded.
-
These photos are transferred to slower, less accessible storage, which may cause minor delays in order fulfillment but should not lead to other noticeable impacts.
- Placing an order enables faster photo storage, making photos available for sharing and download again within 24 hours.
- Accounts nearing the 18-month order deadline will receive up to five reminder emails, starting 28 days before the anniversary of the last order, with one email sent each week.
- These reminders encourage placing an order to prevent archiving.
- Once an order is placed, the emails will cease.
- If no order is placed, the final email will confirm that the photos have been archived and will include FAQs with further details.
- Shutterfly reserves the right to modify these policies if necessary.
