• Gift Cards do not expire and can be used to buy items from Shutterfly, including all photo gifts and prepaid plans. 

• Gift Cards can cover the cost of products, as well as any applicable sales tax and shipping.

• If the order total is less than the Gift Card value, the remaining balance will be saved in the account for future use.

• If the order total exceeds the Gift Card value, the remaining balance must be paid at checkout.

• Multiple Gift Cards can be saved to an account and used for ordering. 
• Gift Cards are unable to be used for in-store pickup orders (at CVS), or on any branded sites.

• Credit Card information is required for verifications purposes when using a Gift Card to pay for an order.
  • If the Gift Card amount exceeds the order total, no charge will be applied to the Credit Card.

1. Sign in to the Shutterfly account.
2. Click 'Hi, (Your Name)' and Click 'Account & Settings'. 

3. Click 'Gift Cards & Prepaids,' Enter the 19-character code in the box, and Click 'Apply'.
   • A message will confirm the successful entry of the Gift Certificate, along with the current balance.

• "This gift certificate code is not valid."
  • Characters may have been omitted or entered incorrectly and the code should be double-checked for accuracy. 
    
    • Common issues include mixing up letters and numbers (e.g., O vs. 0 or I vs. 1).
  • If purchased from a retail location, this message might indicate the Gift Card wasn't properly activated at checkout. 
    
    • Verify activation by checking the receipt. 
      
      • If not activated, return to the place of purchase with the receipt for activation. 
         
• "This gift certificate code has already been redeemed."
  • Once entered, a Gift Card code is stored in the account until fully used. 
    
    • Ensure the code hasn't already been entered in the account. 
  • If sure the code is correct and hasn't been previously entered, refer to the previous explanation for correct entry.

To check a Gift Certificate balance, complete the following steps.

1. Complete steps 1-3 from above. 

2. View the Gift Card Balance.

1. Sign in to the Shutterfly account.

2. Tap the Person icon in the upper right corner.

3. Tap Promos and Gift Cards.

4. ​​​​​​​Enter the Gift Card Number in the top box 'Enter promo code or gift certificate.'
