Downloading Images Helpful Tips
- Completing the following will result in downloading High Resolution Images:
- Download images from a PC.
- Use the download button.
- Completing the following will result in downloading Low Resolution Images:
- Download images from a mobile device.
- Right-click on the image to download.
Digital Image Access & Delivery
- Add email@em.lifetouch.com to the safe‑sender email list to ensure all Lifetouch emails are delivered.
- High-resolution digital images are included with packages that feature Shutterfly digital image access.
- These images may not be compatible with all printed products.
- For guidance on resolution and sizing, refer to the Help Center Article Photo Quality Guidelines for Optimal Prints.
- Delivery Process
- Digital images from original and re-take sessions are delivered through Shutterfly.
- For online orders, an email is sent when the images are ready.
- For paper form orders, claim instructions are included in the portrait package or can be accessed at https://www.shutterfly.com/claim using the unique Portrait ID and Access Code.
- Supported Brands
- Digital image delivery is available for qualifying purchases from the following brands:

Account Setup & Linking
- Requirements
- A Shutterfly account is required to claim and download Lifetouch digital images.
- For assistance creating an account at Shutterfly, please refer to the Creating an Account article.
- Email verification is necessary to complete the account linking process.
- Linking Details
- Linking a Lifetouch account to Shutterfly enables automatic image transfer.
- Once verified, future purchases will automatically transfer to the linked Shutterfly account.
- If a Shutterfly account already exists, it can be linked to the Lifetouch account during the digital claiming process.
- Different email addresses may be used for Lifetouch and Shutterfly accounts.
- Multiple LIfetouch accounts can be linked to a single Shutterfly account.
- However, each Lifetouch account can only be linked to one Shutterfly account.
- Paper form orders must be manually claimed using the Portrait ID and Access Code.
- Be sure to sign in to the preferred Shutterfly account when claiming.
- If additional purchases are made on Lifetouch using a different email address, that email address will need to be verified and linked as well.
- Once the Lifetouch accounts are linked to a Shutterfly account, the digital images will automatically be transferred to Shutterfly when images are ready.
- Verification
- To verify that accounts are linked, sign in to Shutterfly and navigate to the Lifetouch folder under 'Photos.'
- Guest Checkout on Lifetouch also requires email verification and account linking.

View Lifetouch Images on Shutterfly
- Lifetouch images can be viewed on Shutterfly after successfully claiming the images.
From the Shutterfly Website
- Sign in to Shutterfly, Click the dropdown arrow beside "Hi, (Your Name)', and Click 'Lifetouch'.
- Click the Lifetouch folder.
From the Shutterfly App
- Tap Photos, Tap Albums, and Tap the Lifetouch folder.
- If the Lifetouch and Shutterfly accounts are linked, images will be displayed.
Download Digital Images
From the Shutterfly Website
- Lifetouch digital images can be downloaded from the Shutterfly website.
- Go to the personalized Lifetouch page.
- Select a thumbnail image and Click ‘Download Selected’.
- The image will be downloaded in full resolution.
From the Shutterfly Mobile App
- Tap on Photos.
- Tap Albums.
- Tap/Expand the Lifetouch Folder.
- Tap on the album, Select a photo, and Tap on the share arrow icon.
- The image can be downloaded to a device from this screen.
- Photos downloaded from the Shutterfly mobile app are not high resolution.
Download Digital Images (Shutterfly Images Archived)
- If the Shutterfly account has archived photos, Lifetouch images can still be downloaded by following the steps below. Each image must be downloaded individually.
- Sign in to Shutterfly, Click 'Hi, (Your Name)' and Click 'Lifetouch'.
- Select photos and Click 'Download Selected'.

Sharing Digital Images on Shutterfly
- Lifetouch digital images can be shared like any other photo in a Shutterfly account.
- Visit the Sharing Photos Help Center Article for more details on sharing.
Download Copyright Release
- Copyright releases are available for download from the personalized Lifetouch page on Shutterfly.
- Select the thumbnail image and click ‘Download a Lifetouch Copyright for the selected photo’ at the bottom of the page.

- Starting with the Spring 2020 Picture Day season, packages ordered using the paper form that include Shutterfly digital images will allow access to claim digital images on Shutterfly.

- The email address entered may not match the email address associated with the Lifetouch purchase.

- Online purchases should include an order confirmation from Lifetouch, JCP Studio, BuyBuyBaby, or Preschool.
